CLUB HISTORY
Glostrup Cricket club was formed the 2nd April 1959. Cricket had been played in Glostrup (a suburb of Copenhagen) for a few years prior to this at the Glostrup Sports Club.
Glostrup Cricket Club was registered a member of the Danish Cricket Federation (DCF) on the 1st January 1960.
From 1960 until 1974 Nordvangs School was Glostrup Cricket Clubs home ground. This positioning turned out to be ideal as this enabled recruitment of youngsters from the school.
In 1974 Solvangsparken (trans.: "Sunny Field Park") became the clubs new home. In these beautiful surroundings Glostrup Cricket Club developed into Denmarks largest cricket Club. This development has already been the foundation for a number of Danish championships, Cup wins and numerous national team representatives at Senior, Ladies and Youth Levels. In 2008 the club finally won its first Premier League title after being a close second on a number of occasions.
